I wasn't a fan of Dart pre draft but the Giants hardly mortgaged their future drafting him. They gave used a 2nd, 3rd and 3rd round pick in 2026 to trade up for him at pick 25. Compare that to the capital the 49ers used to trade up for Trey Lance who had started 1/3 of the games Dart did in college
