PIT β T.J. Watt reportedly wants to be the NFLβs highest-paid non-quarterback, which could stall contract talks into the regular season.
BUF β Joshua Palmer is being overlooked in Buffalo but could carve out a key role as their starting Z-receiver.
DAL β DaRon Bland is expected to move back to the slot, potentially weakening the Cowboys' outside cornerback play.
KC β Chiefs plan to use Brashard Smith in a versatile backfield role with no clear receiving back on the roster.
CLE β Rookie WR Jamari Thrash impressed in the spring and is in the mix for the slot job alongside Diontae Johnson.
CIN β Jermaine Burton has earned praise in Bengals camp and could become a big-play option if given a shot.
CLE β Deshaun Watson may be healthy by October but is unlikely to play in 2025, with eyes on a 2026 return.
CAR β Chuba Hubbard is expected to lead the Panthersβ backfield and handle most goal-line work despite a slight drop in touches.
MIA β Dolphins acquired Darren Waller from the Giants and hope he can serve as their third receiving option behind Hill and Waddle.
FA β Tyler Boyd is still looking for a deal above the vet minimum and has spoken with the WR-needy Steelers.
NFL β No formal talks are expected on an 18-game NFL schedule until 2026, per the NFLPA and league sources.
PIT β Aaron Rodgers and OC Arthur Smith are working to find a balance between pass-heavy and run-heavy tendencies.
LV β Raiders reportedly have βno interestβ in trading TE Michael Mayer despite Miamiβs pursuit.
MIA β Dolphins have shown continued interest in trading for Raiders TE Michael Mayer, but nothing is imminent.
WAS β McLaurin and the Commanders remain far apart in talks, with the WR pushing for ~$30M per year.
PIT β Steelers are committed to keeping T.J. Watt and are focused on working out an extension.
PIT β Pittsburgh plans to use Jonnu Smith in a versatile offensive role, including tight end and slot receiver.

I don't think my Chiefs are going to win this season due to the Super Bowl curse. If the roster stays healthy and new LT is stable Mahomes will put up MVP numbers.
Bengals take out the Bills and my Chiefs, but they lose to the Ravens. Saquon Barkley gets injured and the Eagles get sent home by the Bucs. It will be a Ravens vs Commies Super Bowl. Mahomes earns the league MVP but they give it to Jayden.
Why didn't Mahomes have a great statistical year in his seventh season like every other great QB did? Shouldn't he be getting better as he ages?

>Brady didn't have GOAT level statistical seasons
Mahomes is only bad by Mahomes standards in the last 3 seasons. His passer rating is like 92, which is Josh Allen's career average. He's still elite when it matters which is the playoffs. He averaged a 100 pass rating in the last two post seasons. To put that into context Brady has only had 4 post seasons with 100 passer rating and he's been to 20 of them.

so fucking disingenuous. It took Allen a couple years to become the QB he is today. His actual passer rating is 97.6. he also just won MVP with what was universally recognized as a bottom 5 receiver corps before the season btw.

John Dorsey:
-Travis Kelce
-Tyreek Hill
-Chris Jones
-Harrison Butker
-Technically Mahomes as well since he put Veach in charge of finding Mahomes.
Brett Veach
-Skyy Moore (is a bust and a waste of a 2nd round pick)
-Mecole Hardman (picked him instead of DK Metcalf)
-Jawaan Taylor (leads the league in penalties and the team can't bench him since Veach gave him 60M guaranteed, they had to give up SNEED for him).
-Traded away Tyreek Hill for a bunch of average players who are dime a dozen
-Signed a rookie left tackle during a 3peat who to no suprise was not ready for prime time
Having an all time great head coach, QB, and defensive coordinator hides a lot of flaws. Veach is the biggest fraud in the league.

They're different players. In Brady's 20s he never threw for 50 TDs, 5k yards, and never had a passer rating above 100. He didn't win any league MVPs and was never top-5 in passer rating. He missed the playoffs unlike Mahomes who is the only QB in NFL history to never miss a championship round in his 20s.
>>149552674
>thats cool but the last couple seasons his stats have clearly regressed
How many times do I have to tell you. You can't make the case a player is regressing while they were in the process of 3peating. He went to 3 Super Bowls in a row. That's like Floyd Mayweather winning 50 rights in a row and people complaining that he's no longer knocking them out while winning.
>yeah but brady and montana both have more rings, and brady won just as many at a young age as mahomes did.
Mahomes has the stats AND the rings. Brady only had the rings at this age.

However, it's estimated that there have been over 700 different quarterbacks who have started at least one game in the Super Bowl era (since 1966). This number includes players who started due to injuries or other circumstances, and it can fluctuate from season to season. Some sources estimate the number to be around 721.
Wow, so you could name 2 people with more accomplishments out of 721 to play the sport since the Super Bowl era, and the guy isn't even halfway through his career.

These next two seasons are important though. If they really fall off a cliff then I think there's a chance he and Lynch get fired. I think they got 2 years left on their contracts. Purdy literally saved their jobs desu. The Trey Lance trade was a disaster

Worthy isn't football fast that's why he's never open. Only an unathletic dork thinks 4.21 in a straight line matters when defenders run 4.32 and have 10 yards and overlapping defenders on you means you'll get open. Your pic is misleading. Brady wasn't good enough to make it to 5 Super Bowls in his 20s so we don't know what his stats would have looked like. We do know he played so bad he missed the playoffs in one season and got blown out in a divisional round so I guess that was his Super Bowl equivalent stats.
>It was more difficult to pass the ball in the early 2000s
Mahomes mogs every QB from all eras, so not sure why that matters. Peyton started before Brady and he averaged 4k similar to Mahomes. If Peyton could do it, why couldn't Brady?

I think AFC teams were too scared of the Chiefs to recognize how bad things were on the OL. The Eagles said, I think your OL is shitty and I'm only going to allocate minimum resources to penetrating it and it worked.
Bills HC overthought things and probably cost his team a ring. Could have probably did what the iggles did.

Everyone forgets the unforced errors that kept the Bills alive their last playoff run too.

I agree. The WR talent Herbert has had to work with especially has been piss poor in his time in LA. That said plenty of QBs have performed a lot better with less around them than Herbert. Andrew Luck could absolutely light up teams even when throwing to guys like Coby Fleener and Donte Moncrief. I called Herbert a more athletic but worse version of Joe Flacco with streaky accuracy before the 2020 draft. He's proven me right so far. I actually didn't think he'd struggle so much in the red zone as he had in his career but that's something I've been nothing since late September 2021. I don't think he's developed to the level most QBs 5 years into their career should have by now. I also think the Chargers completely whiffed in this draft class. Wasn't a big fan of Hampton or Tre Harris. Joe Hortiz did a nice job retooling their defence in the 24 draft but this class I think he fucked up massively

He had elite WRs like Ja'Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson at LSU. Both of which will probably retire as top 15 WRs of all time. Now on the Bengals he has Chase and Higgins. He's spoiled.

then why was he still good coming off the bench at osu? another thing to consider is ja'marr chase vs devonta smith. both were sec gods but smith will never have chase numbers. maybe the qb is the difference. in addition, playing for the bengals is a handicap, the team is run like shit and this isn't the first time they've had good receivers. remember the era of owens, ochocinco and housh? burrow is the game changer, plus he threw crazy numbers after the wrist injury

Chase is only a top 5 WR when Burrow is throwing him the ball. This is simple fact backed up by numbers. They elevate eachother and believing otherwise is delusion. And this isn't even getting into the obvious argument of elite weapons being less valuable when your QB is behind a bottom 5 OL (unless that QB is joe burrow)

>Steelers star OLB T.J. Watt is seeking a contract extension that would make him the NFL's highest-paid non-QB, eclipsing Ja'Marr Chase's $40.25M average salary.
>"The stalemate is going to be that T.J. Watt wants to be the highest-paid non-quarterback in the league," Gerry Dulac said.
>"And the Steelers are looking at it that he's age 31. In order to accommodate any kind of large contract, it can't be a three-year deal, it has to be a five-year deal because you need to spread the money out...It's not a smart business decision for the Steelers, and they know it."
>Gulac adds that the process isn't going to be easy because the Steelers saw "a decline in his [Watt's] performance" last season.
>Watt, who's entering the final year of his 4-year/$112M deal, held out from mandatory minicamp with negotiations at a standstill.

Reminder Tom Brady is stealing valor from Mahomes. Had he retired at a normal age Mahomes would have 5 rings and Brady would only have 6.
Brady is using the Raiders as a proxy to try to slow down Mahomes.
He knew the Chiefs were trying to get Bowers so he told the Raiders to take him. Bowers could have replaced Kelce and extended the Chiefs dynasty by another decade.
He fired the >black HC and put in Pete Carrol who he knows gave him trouble so he assumes will give Mahomes trouble.
Brady was practically celebrating during the Super Bowl commentary when the Eagles took the lead since he knew Mahomes wasn't going to 3peat and eclipse his legacy.

>skill>size every time
Most of the time but not all the time. There's a point where the size difference negates a skill advantage. Fighters kill themselves to (((make weight))) just so they can have the tiniest bit of size advantage over their opponents. But then they get rightfully BTFO when moving up a weight class and fighting opponents that matches their natural size.

Remember when the Eagles 2017 had a fake gameplan practice prior to the Superbowl then had their real one because they were so convinced Belichick would find a way to record it? How many points did the Patriots defence give up on that Superbowl again? 41 wasn't it? Very peculiar

Kraft would use these same judges to hide the sex tapes of him raping those underaged chinese prostitutes he raped at the brothel.
Patriots would break into locker rooms and steal playbooks according to Eric Mangini. They were the first team to wear glove colors of their opponents jersey to hide holing.

Kraft is worth billions of dollars, he wouldn't take the risk of going to a brothel to fuck two 70 year old chinese hags. That place was the one Chinese business in town that was selling pizza if you know what I mean. He had them burn the surveillance tapes so the truth will never get out.

Maybe Goodell thought letting the story die and not talking about it was better than "clearing" the Patriots ever think about that?
Also imagine the suspension somebody like Myles Garrett or Maxx Crosby would receive for jumping on Pat Mahomes back/neck on the sideline after the whistle and concussing him. 4 games? 6 games? Why did Gronk only receive 1 game for doing what he did? Oh that's right because the Patriots played the Steelers 2 weeks later in a game that ended up deciding 1st seed in the AFC

>Now imagine another scenario where they didn't sign Matt Ryan and instead kept missing the playoffs and building up draft capital.
You mean exactly what they were doing for the first 40 years of that franchise? Fucking retard, sit this one out.

I remember Cam repeatedly diving into the line like a fullback and consistently crashing into defenders instead of avoiding them.
Lameme's just as black as Cam, runs all the time and manages not to get lit up constantly. Kaepernick was overtly loathed by the league and a total hack who relied on his running and he managed not to get killed. Russell Wilson was a black qb and if anything, he got a pretty generous whistle. Mike Vick didn't get headhunted constantly. Neither did Cunningham or Culpepper. Or Doug Fucking Williams and Warren Moon if you want to go way back.
Did the league only notice Newton was black? The trick is don't play QB like Bronco Nagurski. If you repeatedly rush like a halfback that's what you are and halfbacks get tackled. Usually pretty hard.
>>149554620 is the great white hope that everyone thinks the league tried to shill for and protect at every opportunity getting blown the fuck up and no one even called it a dirty play. Know why? Because he was a fucking ballcarrier. Don't want to get hit? Get to the sidelines.
