No it's not. People love saying this, but every hockey fight I've ever seen has sucked ass. One guy gets a good shove on another and then everyone else grabs each other and slips around while throwing punches that do 0 damage.
That's why the fighting is never regulated, nobody actually gets hurt. If they did (like in football) people would treat it like a problem
