Okay, it's better than I remember it being. I feel like all the supporting cast was passable, no one felt grating like some of support in Prometheus. The pale xenos looked pretty terrifying except when they opened their mouths. I hated the spore concept, though, it seems too advanced given that it's leading up to the xenomorph. The climax on the Covenant was lame. I heard Fox pushed for standard Alien shit, so I wonder if Scott just went through the motions and redid the same stock ending from, at that point, 3 of the 5 Alien films. Still love the open ending with David. He carries the movies, and I was hopeful the next Alien movie would have him, but shit's canned. Maybe they'll find a way to tie this Romulus series back to him since they weren't afraid of using the Engineer concept.
