Not sure. I'll be honest with you: I have no idea where the Smart Atoms shit came from. It's not really mentioned in the actual run. It's always been explained as giga resistance, like in the first season where they tried to find a weakness for a single sample of blood from Nolan/Mark and couldn't find any.
