This is such a bizarre accusation I can't even understand where it'd come from. Do you think no one still buys new Yugioh cards and that no one plays Master Duel or something? Like the entire competitive scene of Yugioh is imaginary?
My favourite deck is a fucking 2018 deck which is plenty modern Yugioh and I'm hyped over the game lately because it just took a major event against the current brand of top 1 meta deck. I'm not going to get into defending the game itself here since it's the Shadowverse general and most every Yugioh player will readily admit it has issues, but like, the idea that no one would like the game and admit they like the game is just baffling to me.
