Because the quality of your monitor sets the baseline experience.
You don't need an OLED, but you should at least own an IPS gaming monitor that is known to present accurate SDR colors and have a decent response time.
Your LG monitor's fine in that respect.

People buy OLED because they want better blacks & HDR.
