it's technically my second language
but honestly i'm more proficient with english than my mother tongue

i go my first job as freelance artist from my college prof's contact while still in college
after that my college contacts led me to the place im currently interning at
suprisingly credentials mean very little here they care more about what's in the portfolio
they had work and i was better than my peer applicants (i wa shown their work later) so i got picked
personally i'd rate myself as slightly below average at best by global standards which translates to pretty good here
I've been blessed with a phenomenal mentor who qualifies as one of the "greats" in the Indian animation industry so fortune's been on my side so far

not really since i believe i'm unqualified still maybe in~6 ~7 years into my career i'll give it a go
besides i'm rather satisfied with work and life here
never really got the hype some of my people have towards moving abroad

this seems like an inflated figure
but even if it were accurate i reckon you could easily excel above ~80% of these by being just baseline competant/good communicator
if my experience with art college has taught me anyting
its that almost 90% of art students are failsons belonging to rich household
who're in it for "le art college experience" rather than any genuine interest or passion for animation
don't put yourself down by comparing yourself to the lowly masses
if you have genuine interest in animation and practice daily you've already got a massive headstart on a good chunk of your peers
