Not saying its flase, but your character is an Ashina with Gothic culture also it's easier to get both through conquest and prepare invasion as Nomads.
Ashina are really good to fuck around with, their merc bloodline make every large kingdom even more powerful with permanent levy increase.

There arent any nigs in north africa it really doesnt fit the Vandal theme imo. I guess it could work for an ignorant christian from the 10th century.
