today is your lucky day! you attracted the attention of the local gesture schizo :^)

20 minutes for that is not good. not only is it wasted time, but it should not take you that long for a figure with that amount of detail. i would recommend you try sketching quicker, focusing only on what is just outside your current skill.

see pic related. in 3d modeling there is a concept of "level of detail" "LOD" - when a model is displayed at a distance where the individual features become less important, the game renders the model in less and less detail to preserve computing power. you would benefit from drawing at a lower "level of detail" - namely something closer to gesture drawing.

you made many very fundamental mistakes in that figure, and each mistake makes it more likely that the features that depend on it become wrong too! you should aim to make the first lines of your drawing as good as possible!

but... "good" in this context does not mean perfect or accurate! if you fall into this trap, you get stuck and frustrated trying to draw details accurately (and failing) like the face of your drawing.
"good" in this context means a good basis for all the lines you are going to draw afterwards.

can you visualize the figure (the thread challenge) as a stick figure? try drawing it just as a stick figure, it shouldnt take you more than a couple of seconds
