Because Marvel editorial are dumb cunts who only care about outrage farming and events. A book like Sensational She-Hulk (1989), which most of us can agree was at least good for the whole run, with or without Byrne, would never be given that much of a chance today.

I liked Rowell's book because it was self contained and didn't have a million tie ins. Even Soule's She-Hulk, which was fun to read, suffered from the shitty early 2010s status quo at the time.
