I've been playing HoI4 since release and I remember a time when there was an unspoken but mutual understanding within modders and the community to ignore South America completely (and often even anything south of the Rio Grande) out of a mutual understanding that no one really gives a fuck about it and the content will be shitty and boring. It's unfortunate that that sentiment no longer exists and we now have mod teams dedicating whole updates and years of work to a region no one cares about. It's probably due to the influx of brown Latinx onto the Western Internet in the last few years forcing their irrelevant countries into the spotlight
