It genuinely looks too post processed. The video game equivalent of an Imagine Dragons songs, or a Michael Bay film, or pic related. I don't know much about game dev or this game specifically, but every image I've seen of it feels overworked, overcooked. If I had to guess why it's an Unreal phenomenon, it may be because a goal of that engine is to push graphical and technical boundaries, and so more effects for their own sake are emphasized. But just because you have a fancy new toy, that doesn't mean you should automatically use it. I honestly think by narrowing the range of values and effects, by showing less, more a "mood" would be obtained, rather than bedazzle-sloppa it currently is.
