—Did you have any suggestions for the general direction of the work as a whole?
>Very roughly speaking, the initial concept was a “Monster Hunter”-like battle in which weak robots from the earth would fight strong robots from Mars. However, if we continued with that concept for each episode, it would become increasingly difficult, so we decided that we wanted to come up with something more than just "a strong enemy every time". At that time, the director said that they wanted to win not with guts, but by building on logic. He said that he did not want to make plays that are won by momentum and spirit, or by the person who shouts the loudest. To give you a specific name, we wanted to take the direction of “JoJo's Bizarre Adventure” and have fun with its plot devices.

From there, the concept of “super robots vs. real robots” was born.
