I'm finally watching the last couple of episodes I had in the backlog, and it's incredible just how unlikable they are. I get why they are written that way, because: A, they are the final opponent of the anime, so they have to come across as antagonistic, and B, there simply isn't enough space to develop four different characters with only a couple of episode left, so it is easier to just make them assholes. But come on, it comes across as so cartoony and lame, that it directly deflates the whole final conflict because it's impossible to care.
