haha ya they had a ton of games on the ps1. parasite eve, xeno gears, front mission, legend of mana, ext. I think you’re right something about the ps2 era of square changed for the worse and i’m not sure what it was. Maybe the hormone success of X forced them into more and more cinematic junk? I mean I still have no idea why they ended up doing spirits within…. that said advent children is definitely my guilty pleasure.
