Deku is a worthless character made for a generation of lazy self inserters who want all their problems to be anything else's fault but their own. They believe that their "potential" is just waiting to be unlocked if only someone would give them the key to the universe. Anything resembling struggle or requiring any amount of effort is simply the universe being unfair because they're secretly all special little perfects and why should they be expected to give back anything.
