strictly politically not really
it fucking sucked as a kid. when i was around other black kids, i was the half breed, and when i was around white kids, i was 'exotic' goods
my extended black family is on the other side of the country so i never really got to experience the culture aside from the 'friends' at school that saw me as subhuman.
i am fairly light skinned, so any black strangers that somehow find out I am mixed will instantly treat me with what i can only describe as overt disgust vs when they thought i was 'white'.
