They are now both economically and millitarily stronger than they were in 2022. They gained some lands in east Ukraine. They increased their allience with Belarus. Young population that was mainly liberal in 2010x, now supports this war, and are overally more nationalistic. You call this losing? Don't know, for me it is not.
And about casualties. Well it can be bad for short term, but for long term it is nothing. People will make babies, nothing is suprising here.
