Ruth is great and unique, and Esther is also a great story. Wisdom has some great sections. Judith is a fine story as far as ancient lit goes. Amos is great. Psalms and the Canticle of Canticles has some exquisite poetry. Normally Joel isn't ranked as high by lit critics but I think the imagery is great and Hosea is unique too.
But it's also important for later literature and thought, e.g. classics like Saint Gregory of Nyssa's Life of Moses. And then the KJV has had a monumental affect on English literature.
