...Anon, if the game book is so bad at being able to instruct you on how to build a character in the game, that's a massive design flaw, and a character generator program does not in fact magically fix the issue. It only highlights that it was never meant to be done by human hands in the first place, and that it was a mistake to design a game like that if the only way the creator could fix it was toss you a program to do the job instead.
And I'm going to be frank, any so-called game developer that requires you to use quadratics to create a character deserves to be shot on sight. That's just how it is.
