I've always hated what a ridiculous amount of stats he loses once his intro runs out so it sucks they kept that. They made slot 1 totally unnecessary at least.
His defense with 3 rainbow orbs will be just above 3 million after 3 supers or just above 2 post intro so not quite dodge or die but still very rng.
