That part of my post was clearly mocking the idea of Cazador's Asian look somehow being "forced diversity." Why is he out of place in BG3 but Tamoko and Yoshimo in the first two games weren't? Would an Eastern European-looking Cazador not hurt your sensibilities as much? All vampire lords must be Dracula, after all. This dilutes whatever meaning you ascribe to "forced diversity" - we're not talking about black elves and dwarves in Middle-earth - which undermines reasonable criticism that actually touches upon worldbuilding issues. Maybe the ethereally beautiful drow really shouldn't look "diverse" because there's no in-universe justification for that. But Cazador? Who cares.
Nowhere did I imply BG1 and BG2 were somehow fantasy Los Angeles, by the way. Regarding your picture - midgets don't really count as people, whether they're white or gray or purple. You even have a pale-skinned Viconia, so maybe the artist had no idea what the fuck they were doing. So you're being disingenuous while calling me disingenuous. What I did poke fun at is the idea that the Forgotten Realms was always white-centric, even though Greenwood designed a world of deliberately diverse cultures and races. Jaheira and Minsc are, by definition, foreigners - just not the shade of brown you can whitewash with a mod.
