Just completed eviternity 2, what a wad.
A lot of people seem to like it more than the original, but I don't think those people would be me.
It goes way overboard with the monster arenas. I've read that dragonfly doesn't want to make another eviternity because 2 made him so sick of doom it made him hate the game for a time. It vindicated me in thinking some parts of the wad might've been going through the motions.
Still, It's an audiovisual marvel, which was enough to sell me to the end credits.
Even the more forgettable encounter design is still fun because it's doom combat and mappers have gotten it down to a science at this point.
