It is quite possible to get lost in pic related and they'll never find your body because nature will grow over it with time.

There are plenty of reasons why someone would be never seen again after a trip to a forest or mountain and never be seen again that don't involve paranormal explanations. I know it isn't as exciting but most cases aren't that exciting but rather mundane.
