thats the thing though, the pen and paper RPG character building is already there. they have already designed it, it is in the current battletomes. they already went through the trouble of designing the anvil of apotheosis where you get a blank slate character and you can choose their weapons, armor, mount, powers, spellcasting, etc they've already done all of the legwork to design it, the cowardly designers just dont want to disrupt the competitive scene with difficult to balance customization or have to worry about balancing that many options in their quarterly updates, so they relegate it to a game mode absolutely nobody can be arsed to play
