There's pros and cons on both sides. From a value perspective, you're getting more from Playmates if these Reignition figures are under $14. Painted weapons, an extra weapon (two in Green's case), a holster, and 4 extra points of articulation. The sculpts of the Playmates figures are more realistic compared to Bandai's more stylized Action Heroes, but I think the Action Heroes have their own charm.
My biggest issue with the Reignition figures are the legs. I don't know why Playmates continues using that type of hip articulation, but it instantly knocks at least a point off the figures. The knees are also oddly done. It almost looks like they're wearing shorts. I did a shop of what the Reignition figures could look like with some extra paint and reworked legs. I think it makes a huge difference.
