I'm really not looking forward to this but I'm convinced it's going to happen. I just don't think Toby has really moved on from his weird belief that you have to "move on" from stories and that they're temporary experiences, and that the most important life to live is your real one. I don't think it's going to be as lame as Undertale's reading of it (which is the main black mark on an otherwise great game) but I do think it will be a development of a similar theme.

I mean, there are a fuckton of plausible readings for "After meeting with their desire, the angel and their heaven are banished", it's vague to the point it may as well be universal (Gaster/Deltarune? Ralsei/CastleTown? Noelle/The Dark World?) but I just get the feeling like Toby will think its extra smart to do some metacommentary angle + all of the signposting for soul/player angel. I think the stuff with Susie wanting things not to end is a red herring. The dialectic synthesis in the end will be to say "everything has an end, that's why its important to create new beginnings" or some shit
