Unfortunately, it wasn't even close to that. It doesn't have to be "grimdark" to be good though, no.

I worry about this too, especially if threats and antagonists are to stay grounded on the planet. They've basically unified all the nations of the world into one big ass alliance. I really don't like that at all.
