Superboy Prime is from Earth Prime, essentially our world. An adopted boy that was named Clark, and fell in love with comics, namely Superman. He dressed like Superman for a Halloween, wished upon a comet, and then found himself with powers and thrown into the Earth 1 DC canon. Superman found him, called him Superboy, and then things devolved. As you can imagine a person from our world would have meta knowledge and eventual frustration dealing with comic bullshit. He started seeing the ineffectiveness of heroes in this world, and grew jaded/cynical given that everything to him was fictional and a constant narrative cycle. So he just became a dick, frustrated that his dream became a prison, stuck in this bullshit world.

Last we saw of him he was in Death Metal fighting Batman Who Laughs with the heroes. He punched reality (again), found himself home, and was at peace, putting down comics to hang out with his girlfriend that he missed
