NTA but if your whole point is "it's been happening since forever, why would it stop now?" then it's extremelty flawed and you're either too stupid to realize it or care too little about the issue (because it doesn't affect you) to care.
Yes, up until now men and women got together, despite the issues they had to face. However, society and the world at large kept changing, so did the issues in question and so did men and women. We (as in western society) don't have the same values or morals we did even 50 years ago, nevermind before. Given all that, why is it so unbelievable that, at one point, the issues changed to the point of being too much to overcome for a lot of people? Why is it so hard to believe that they may affect men the most? Time changes things, sometimes it makes them easier others harder, and we're in the second part in this case. Or would you even imply that the Great Depression was as good of a time as the baby boom?
It's like saying "Why would the Sun not rise tomorrow? It did up until today!" except for the fact that we know scientifically that there will be a day where the Sun will be no more.
