(Rolled 19) - Anon is thirsty
You’re pretty sure you read online that in such situations one had to find water first. That or piss in a bottle.
“Ah whatever,” you muttered at no one in particular. You checked your surroundings once more.
Terrain was sloped down to the east. Water goes *down*. It isn't rocket science.
Unless this is some magical land where gravity is all screwed, it just makes sense for it to flow that way.
You start walking in that direction. Though soon enough walking turns into trudging. You’re really not used to exercising, especially in this heat.
Thankfully the croaking grows loader, the clouds of insects become denser, and eventually you hear the noise of water rushing through rocks.
A stream! Not the kind you’re used to though.
When you finally arrive at the small river, you’re greeted by yet another pop-up window:
>Scouting +4 XP [4/5]
“So that’s how that works huh? Shitty goddess at least made it a bit easier for me.”
“You know I’m still watching you, right? Want me to take away that system?”, she whispers in your mind. Damn weirdo.
You bite your tongue, the instinct to reply with some insult being overridden by your desire not to die.
The waters are clean, seem potable. Well, not that you’re an expert.
You kneel down by the riverbank and drink away. It’s a much-needed relief after walking around in a tropical jungle.
Perhaps if you went any longer without it you might develop heatstroke.
Something splashes further downstream.
Glancing that way, wary of any dangerous fauna, you spot…
A girl, a normal human — wait, no. Striped tail, perked up ears. A monkey girl. A goddamn monkey girl.
Holy shit, maybe the goddess isn’t so bad after all.
You watch her intently. She’s washing some rags in a bucket. Her clothes are also pretty threadbare. The lemur girl doesn’t seem to notice you, for now.
>Pick & Roll d20 best of three
>A) Make monkey noises at her, speak her native tongue.
>B) Try to hide in the bushes and observe, maybe follow her back to wherever she came from.
>C) Maybe it *is* time to get a weapon, at least a big stick
>D) Call out and introduce yourself like a supreme gentleman (Name?)
