There aren’t many material benefits with keeping them in the dark, and being dishonest is never easy for you — unless you really dislike the people you’re lying to, and in this case, it cannot be further from the truth. You love these Tomatoes and this Clumsy Idol! Honesty is the best policy here.
“Yeah, the heist is real. We wanna prank the local mafia out. It’s important.” You come clean. It’s too late to hide anything anyway.
Chio and Vortexia’s eyes bulge out from their skulls briefly as they turn to Crossbill.
“It really is.” Crossbill backs you up like all besties should.
“...R-Right.” Wilma can’t imagine it, but she’s willing to listen.
“I appreciate the honesty, and only the honesty.” Chio furrows her eyebrows. “What is going through your dysfunctional heads that you two want to do something so dangerous? If you want trouble, just keep making me upset and you’ll get the same results.”
“Chio, once again I remind you that you’re sick… I’ll have to do it for you, but I’m not entirely certain if it’ll meet your standards.” Wilma doesn’t want to do it.
“I’m sure you will impress me.” Chio believes in her sister!
“S-Shouldn’t we question if this is possible first?” Vortexia doesn’t know why this is a given.
“They know we’re pros.” Crossbill winks.
“Right… Pros at what?” Vortexia raises an eyebrow.
“Where to begin? Oh! I know, this!” Crossbill juggles Chio’s brushes! She snatches them from her neck without any noticing. “Now imagine this on a greater scale for better reasons. All big wigs know my moniker, but none know my face — if you get what I mean.”
“Y-You little…!” Chio is upset! “Wilma, dispatch her!”
“…!” Wilma sends San Wich to snatch the brushes back! The little knight flies quite fast!
“F-Faster than I thought.” Crossbill pouts.
“You’re some sort of criminal then?” Vortexia gauges.
“They used to call us Phantom Thieves. But we got too popular for our own good, so you probably haven’t heard of us lately. Not to count that I retired several years ago.” Crossbill is pretty excited about her return. “I used to sabotage all their big projects to the point they stopped them altogether, and started to keep a low profile. No resorts for these scummy businessmen. Gotta protect the environment, boys and girls.”
