>is just white dude boardroom writing
like calling someone white male invalidates them at all, majority of customers is
>like a bunch of boomers trying to sound hip with the youth
that's again a valid point, but who do you want to write it with? my girl Billie Eilish and some mumble rapper? she is so real for being like this frfr
see what I did? zoomer lore just alienates another half of the player base, it is very hard to find a tone that will work for any generation. that is why I was shitting on my generation and gen X, these are the worst. a 23 y/o brainrot zoomette at least has some appeal to me.
>Like every one of the protagonists has the potential to be really good but they are all written like shit.
And again I will totally agree, they probably tried to appeal to too many people at once and wasted money in development. Is the best argument that you see how they limit it to 2 chars in GTA6? That's 33% of dev costs saved.
Let me bring some pic up to check.
Edit:
Cannot find per character, but if you assume it is evenly split, that really limits character development for all chars.
69/3=23
versus 100 for CJ alone
>Every NPC has the potential to be really good but they are all written like shit.
It's to long for me to have a real opinion on this, in online I agree, they are cardboard cutouts. In singleplayer I liked strangers and freaks and the guy who lost his lucky charm wallet. He didn't care for the money in it, just that it travelled with him around the world.
That's good enough writing when I remember it after a decade.
>This entire game feels like Rockstar having an identity crisis after how people perceived GTA IV, it's like Saints Row devolution into just random shit for the sake of random.
With the alien suits and weapons I can relate. This is what killed SR4 completely with their matrix simulation plot. Though aliens on Halloween work. Should be a limited time per year. Railguns and explosive rounds feel a must now, even in regular PvE.
