Tea basically always tastes like a watered down soda, except with plants. I think it took me a few months of drinking green tea semi regularly before I actually began enjoying it. Coffee is fucking delicious, but it's certainly an acquired taste. I remember I was like 5 years old and I asked my mom to let me have a sip of her coffee, and I still remember how nasty that shit tasted back then.
If you *want* to like tea, maybe pick up something like pic related. It's the strongest flavor tea that I've ever had, but it's delicious. It's like a cinnamon/cardamom flavor, and it's pretty intense. Sort of like Big Red gum, but better, and a tea. Getting accustomed to a tea with a very vibrant flavor might make it easier for your palate to enjoy the more normal, lighter flavor teas.
