It wasn't important. Kris didn't "overwrite your save," the game displays Kris's name on the file instead of yours (only in some circumstances which are probably bugged) without any additional playtime or anything that would indicate they actually SAVEd. There's no evidence that Kris is even aware of YOUR power to SAVE - YOU are the one who SAVEs the game, not Kris.
