I sometimes do a little bit of the old solo role playing using yes / no oracles for direct questions examining a scene, and also inspirational words for answering open questions using my own imagination and associations to come up with parts of the scene. For this purpose I have done some experiments with GPT where I explain the process to it and then use it as a creative sidekick for the purpose of doing associations off of the inspirational words that I roll up. We enter a new chamber in the dungeon: Inspirational words: Discombobulated / intricacy.
The AI then helps me to interpret these words using the overarching backdrop of the story, the dungeon, its inhabitants, the theme of the quest and so on and so forth and I must say that it is very good at this. It worked well as such a creative sidekick that can help you offload the creative burden onto it. I run the rule sets on the side IRL so I'm not bringing the LLM into that facet of the gameplay.
