been going over this, and I don't wish to undermine or degrade any of the achievements of the Soviets, they deserve their accolades, but it needs to be stated the number of times the USSR put their Consonants in unnecessary danger and set aside scientific priorities for political concerns (the US would be plenty guilty of this in time as well)
