>YOU PIECE OF SHIT. I THOUGHT YOU WANTED TAILS TO SURPASS SONIC, NOT MAKE HIM STAY A KEK FOREVER!! YOU'RE JUST DOING THE SAME THING SEGA DID, EXCEPT INSTEAD OF POWERSCALING TAILS DOWN, YOU'RE POWERSCALING EVERYONE UP!! THIS IS JUST DRAGON BALL, YOU LITTLE SHIT!!
I was framing that as the starting point, and I was also just thinking of Frontiers where Sonic's bosses are the Titans where he has to go Super for them. And, how that's sort of been the recurring thing since the adventure games, with the Super Sonic final bosses. But instead of Eggman being treated like a joke, have Tails be the one primarily facing him or whatever.

I don't know. Regardless, the point was to start at where Adventure left off: with Tails basically being in Sonic's shoes at that point. But simply being "Sonic 2" is not enough. Tails is not Sonic, he is "Tails".

>Now what the fuck is this? I thought you said Sonic's philosophy about freedom was the one truth. Now you're saying Eggman is kind of right as well? What the hell is going on?
Tails has aspects of both Sonic & Eggman. Sonic's speed, Eggman's brains.

If Sonic is the wind, then Tails is the sky. The heavens. But what IS the Heavens? The Realm of the Gods. Usually, that comes with a level of authority ruling over all of creation or whatever. Which, if framed in an antagonistic light, would translate into an even bigger Eggman. But in that case, just defeating him by being a representation of "Freedom" is not enough. This is greater than that.

This is a level where the solution would have to lie somewhere in-between Sonic's own freedom and Eggman's desire for order and control or whatever. There needs to be order in the world for civilization to thrive, but every individual must have the freedom to live how they want. Both are true. But basically, where Sonic simply destroy Eggman's mechs and moves on, Tails is the one who could rebuild it in a "better way".
