For Superman, his alter ego is a human, Clark Kent.

The story of Superman is that he is an alien that crash lands on Earth and saves the world by being himself i.e. being Superman.

The Jewish religion's mission statement is called Tikkun Olam which means Jews are the "chosen people" separate from all other people (much like aliens) and that the Jews are here to save the world.
