I honestly loved Gunn's Superman, but MAN I really didn't like how they handled the Els, it's like if in Birthright, the Kryptonian invasion stuff was actually true and not something made up by Lex.
Like, ideally Clark should embrace both his alien and human sides, his alien side after all is why he has all his powers and is even alive, they're a big part of him, it you're just gonna make them pieces of shit, then it kinda undermines the tragedy of their deaths.
