Literally the exact same petty manchild mindset, even if for different reasons. My favorite part is how he later introduced a russian representative, except she was 100% pure Japanese because he was just that terrified fans could fall in love with another non-Jap.
Arguably what's happening to Spider-Man is much worse because from what I've heard, editors tried to keep him in check somewhat instead of being fully complicit.
