Kostiantyn Oborin, head of the Odesa Aviation Club, died while carrying out a combat mission to defend Ukraine.
Kostiantyn was a veteran of the war in Afghanistan. In 2014, risking his own life, he rescued 29 Ukrainian warriors from captivity.
As part of Ukraine's First Polar Parachute Expedition in 2000, Kostiantyn parachuted onto the top of the planet and raised the flags of Ukraine and Odesa at the North Pole.
A master of parachuting, five-time record holder of Ukraine, he completed over 3,000 jumps and was the president of the Parachuting Federation in Odesa region.
Kostiantyn had six children.
At the age of 63, Kostiantyn continued to carry out combat missions - and lost his life during one of them.
Eternal memory and eternal glory to Ukrainian Hero.
