the predisposition to raids has heavily undermined policing and it has not been rolled back to any significant degree since this incident. even today completely unfounded calls with no evidence except manufactured urgency are enough for the police to """accidentally""" kill you and your family. it seems absurd that the system isn't fail safe but i guess a few too many people cried about something that i don't know about that the police feel they must be ready all the time to drop into any home without establishing anything first.
