You expose your ignorance further. "Dan Wesson" hasn't had anything to do with the company in years. It's just a brand name now. Their latest gun, the DWX, which is essentially a mashup of a 1911 and a CZ, does in fact use an external extractor. So obviously they do understand the benefit.

Just stop posting if you know nothing. Internal extractors are springs, external extractors are not. They pivot, and use a separate spring. This is fundamental to why they are a superior design.
