it never used to happen back in the day though. in the 90s, guys who played Tomb Raider did so just because she had big fucking tits and ass-eating shorts. you're describing a modern problem, and it's not video games. What you're describing is merely a symptom for already vulnerable people. These people turn "trans" instead for online praise and attention. They are almost always people who struggle socially and bullied. When they embrace the current thing™ they get boatloads of online praise that makes them feel good. It's sad really, even though they are retarded troons... sad mostly because at one point they were an innocent kid that just never got accepted. Not because of their sexual/gender/whatever orientation, but because they didn't know how to navigate normal childhood social lfe. I somehow head that TWO, yet TWO people I went to school with trooned out in their late 20s, and both of them fit the bill exactly. you seem to forget that most people will do damn near anything to be seen as cool, even to the point of destructive behavior and unhealthy lifestyle choices.
