My family lives on large plots of grandfathered land surrounded by forest, lakes and rivers across a whole region.

When someone gets married we let them stay in one of the guest houses while their new home is built or an older one refurbished if there were no siblings that took it.
None of us will ever have to rent unless we choose to, despite living within commuting distance of major towns.
