In case this isn't bullshit (big chance it is) I might order them depending on how you can combine them with other armies, as I'm working on a Border Prince-themed army.

>plastic kits for tilea and estalia
I have missed that specific rumour. Either they have a lot of confidence in TOW to think these plastic kits specifically might sell or this might be some exec's passion project (based if it is). In all likelihood this is probably a mixture of fake and gay misinformation plus the conversation turning from "I wonder if the Tilean section of DoW comes back" to "they will release southern realms in plastics!!!"

Half my army is from Warlord's landsknecht range (halbs, gunboys and the greatswords), the other half an assortment of Oldhammer, ex-GW and the Empire Knights and Empire Archers from the modern range, and all of those miniatures work really well combined. Same size and roughly the same style, and I would say that the less ape-esque Warlord minis work better as state troops aesthetically than GW's.

Outside of James' shops (of which there are nine in my entire country) I doubt you'd run into any issues on using proxies, atleast in Europe. The hobby store in my city is associated with GW but most of the hobbyists proxy to some extend for any of the GW games.

I've been wondering whether that brand loyalty insistence is a specific American cultural quirk thanks to their consumerist hellhole, as the only people I've seen insisting that we consoom from GW specifically are Americans.

Look at this loser, he plays with the GW state troops!

I'm not a fan of Perry's sculpts as proxies for Warhammer specifically, but they go far beyond the rank-and-apes that GW is currently selling for Empire. I'd recommend either Warlord's range or one of the smaller metal ranges if you don't mind paying GW premium f(but often still cheaper) or the latter
