Aren't you basically comparing the same thing and just using semantics? Isn't the dolls just Herta's swimsuit in a way? Somewhat of an outfit/skin she wears when around people. We see that big Herta dresses slightly differently but lore and personality wise she's just big doll Herta. I don't see how that's any different from swimsuit of a character. Personally if you're gonna make an alt of a character I like how FGO does it with Artoria. Not counting some of the summer versions no Artoria are the same. They all have different personalities and lore. I don't have any issues with big Herta myself. I just will never care or roll for her. That's mainly because I personally don't roll for the same character unless that new version adds a new layer to that character. For example if 5 star March is just March but a 5 star variant I'll probably skip her.
