The reason I hate that is because it clashes so much with the gaudy One Piece designs, the stupid hair colors and costumes and shit. They make the world look serious and realistic but why would a dude in such a world wear some cheap fucking mouse ears on top of his hat lol

The manga obviously gets away with this stuff but in the show it's just deranged
